Puma Logo

Like another Bespoke Sportswear brand, Puma can trace its roots to the shoe business established by the Dassler brothers in 1920. A falling out between the brothers led to the creation of the two new companies in 1948; the businesses have been driving excellence in sports apparel ever since.

The first Puma football boot was worn by several members of the West German national team which played the nation’s first post-war international in 1950 and within two years, Puma had created the first boot with screw-in studs. Puma footwear was worn by Pele in four World Cups and Diego Maradona wore Puma Kings when he led Argentina to the title in 1986.

The company made its move into kits by providing the customised outfit with two stripes worn by Johan Cruyff in the 1974 World Cup. Always willing to challenge convention, Puma designed the sleeveless kit worn by Cameroon in the 2002 African Cup of Nations. Puma kit is of such high quality that at the 2006 World Cup, 12 out of 32 nations (including the champions, Italy) were wearing uniforms provided by the German giant.

Clubs of all sizes and budgets trust Puma because of their traditional focus on quality and challenging the status quo.
